1、初學者
在多年的學習和教學實踐中，我發現初學口語的最有效方法就是背誦英文句型或段落。在背誦前切記要跟著錄音帶大聲朗讀5遍以上。有讀者會說，我試過了但記不住。其實，背誦時最好有中文譯文，一邊看句子，一邊背。這樣就可以確定背不下來是因為情節的連貫問題，而不是因為英語水平的問題。
2、中級水平
許多通過了四六級的同學只是在閱讀、聽力或寫作方面有能力，並不代表口語也有相應的水平。大家不要認為自己學的口語教材簡單，可以做個試驗：拿一篇你認為很淺顯的文章，將其翻譯成漢語，讓別人將每句漢語讀給你聽，然後你再翻譯成英文。如果沒問題，說明你口語很好，否則就需要多做這種練習。
3、特別方法
(1)每晚入睡以前躺在床上，用英文對自己自言自語，將一天發生的事情描述下來。要持之以恆。
(2)同一個英文對白的電影，每星期至少看一次，連續三個月以上，不要看不同的，口語一定大有進步
這些都是比較適合中國學生的方法。大家可以從中選出最適合自己的。
最後，給大家一個建議，在雅思口語中要注意舉一反三。例如，考試時考官給的卡片上如果是這樣寫的：

And explain why you think it is the most beautiful
考生要馬上和interesting trip聯繫到一起，不要認為是新的話題。你可以談論青島、大連或深圳的某些景色。考官可能還會問以下問題：
What measures does your government take to protect natural scenery?Do you think it is effective?
What role does tourism play in your country』s economy?What should you pay attention to in travel?
所以，在平時練習中，就某一話題自己也應盡可能地舉一反三，多角度給自己提出問題，練習回答，這樣既可應對考試，也能切實提高自己英語口語的反映能力。
