青海地處「世界屋脊」，江河源頭。獨特的高原地理位置，獨具一格的高山大川，悠久的歷史文化，有著許多的具有濃郁地域特色的風俗。在過去，青海有這樣的四大怪說法：「風吹石頭跑，滿地不長草，房頂能賽跑，是姑娘不洗澡。」可想而知那時候的荒涼可見到什麼程度。對了，還有四蛋的說法：「滿地都是石頭蛋蛋，燒得的是牛糞蛋蛋，吃的是洋芋《土豆》蛋蛋，姑娘小伙的臉都是紅臉蛋蛋。」因為青海海拔平均都在3000千以上，而藏族的娃娃們幾乎都是在山上放羊長大，由於強烈的紫外線照射，臉蛋基本都是紅兒團，在這里我們把這稱之為青海風光，至今還有很多的藏族同胞都是這樣，這也算是青海的一道靚麗的風景線吧。
青海是個多民族居住的地方，據我知道就有藏族、回族、漢族、蒙古族、土族、撒拉族等等吧，各個民族在不同的時間內過著不同的屬於自己民族的節日，那種神秘而又壯觀的異域節日景象在內地是看不到的。當然，隨著社會的進步與發展，青海也是同步並走沒有落下，現在的城市也和內地一樣的繁華昌盛。
我喜歡青海，也慶幸自己能生長在這個富饒而又美麗的地方。這里的一切都深深的吸引著我。青海湖，塔爾寺，李家峽那原始的森林公園等等。在春天的時候會有成百上千的鳥兒在藍天上飛翔，秋天時那滿山遍野的油菜花讓人陶醉。同時，柴達木盆地還有著世界著名的鹽湖，它的面積非常非常大，鹽類資源非常豐富，是一個神奇美妙的鹽的世界，許多中外遊客都慕名到這里來遊玩和觀賞。
