詞語用法：

rise的基本意思是指空間位置的上升運動，引申可指數量、價格、需求、生活、費用、體溫等的「增加，增長」，是可數名詞； 也可指某事物的「興起，發展」，是不可數名詞； 還可指工資的「增加」，是可數名詞。

rise還可指「斜坡，高崗」，是可數名詞。

rise是不及物動詞，不能用於被動結構，常與above， from， to等介詞連用。

rise偶爾也用作系動詞，後接形容詞作表語。

rise一般不與介詞up搭配使用，多單獨使用，rise up中up是是多餘的；

rise屬不及物動詞，其過去分詞risen可作形容詞，表示「已升起的」。

decline用作動詞的基本意思是有禮貌地拒絕邀請、給予或服務。引申可表示「衰落，降低」「傾斜，下降」「下沉」。作「辭謝，謝絕」解時多用作及物動詞，其後可接名詞、動名詞或動詞不定式作賓語。作「衰落」解時只用作不及物動詞。
