In today's rapid changing society, it is hard to allege that the increasing of people's efficiency and hence enable most of people have more leisure time are the primary goal of technological advancement. As is so often pointed out, modern technology make the relationship between people become more impersonal and aloof. The early initiative handicraft has been replaced by assembly line of machinery, and the works' jobs are always unutterably boring. The bargaining between people also gives its ways to the high efficient trade in the supermarket. So, spectacles above are the primary goal of the modern technology, it bound to raise many persons' unsatisfactory.

Most people would like to have better infrastructures and recreative facilities rather than a better look. Secondly, the side effects brought by artistic designs also arouse people』s wide concern. They worry about the safety of buildings and they believe the steadiness is more essential. Last but not least, the appearance which is loved by the designers may not be accepted by everyone. Different people have discrepant views. It is easier said than done to settle a proposal satisfying everybody.

Supporters also claim that there are a large number of benefits following the special architectures. For one thing, we can hand down our cultural heritages by constructions. If we fail to build up symbols of our tradition, our descendants may forget it someday. For another thing, it』s also a good way to enhance the embellishment. There is no doubt that a good image of the city could successfully attract the world』s attention and provide the dwellers with more opportunities. Also worth mentioning is that it can give us good feelings. Under such circumstance, people could work more efficiently and rest more comfortably.

Generally speaking, both of their views are rational. But personally, I side with the latter one. Anyway, we don』t want to live in a world with the same buildings, the same colours and the same styles.

Living in a fast-paced society, the modern eaters are not longer interested in the contents of their food, but focused on whether a convenient meal is available at hand to devour. Statistics indicate that even housewives spend much shorter time at kitchen than their predecessors. This writing will compare and contrast advantages and disadvantages of fast food and traditional food.
Traditional food has its unshakable position in the human culture both in the social and historical context. Historically, chefs have gone to all lengths to experiment on novelties, invent cooking skills to gratify guests' hunger. Hence, traditional food has secured its incomparable value with a complex of tantalising features, including the variance, flavour, and taste. Its unique charms can nurture social relations as well. A family is accustomed to prepare a traditional feast to serve their guests at weekend or on holiday, such as Christmas.
Further, traditional food is favourably nutritious and balanced, compared with fast food. Dieticians have suggested audience through millions of televised courses that traditional food can retain more nutrition before being served on the table, for in general, they are cooked with a temperate heat. By contrast, the fast food are made at such a high temperature that nutrition has inescapably vaporised ring the cooking process. Meanwhile, cooks pay more attention to the balance of recipe when preparing traditional food, such as combing meat with vegetable.
Despite a range of advantages, traditional food is overshadowed by its fast competitor in terms of time. Traditional food can consume a considerable amount of time from choosing materials, to arranging your table for visual appeal. In contrast, fast food cannot be faster when making a five-minute trip to a store around the corner, or even dialling to a fast food company. Needless to say recently, a string of fast food companies have tried their hardest to enrich the menu.
To summarise, traditional food has an irreplaceable role in our life, backed with various merits. However, its prevalence is declining for people are more and more time conscious.

Also, as the ty carrier in promoting social development, by guaranteeing the right of ecation and health care, the government are enabled to encourage citizens to make more contributions to the society.

Government』s investment on these two fields is beneficial to ensure social equality. Being free of charge, every citizen can take advantage of these social services, without the worries about being treated unfairly e to their lack of social resources, such as their social status and human network. Besides, this will be helpful to rece the difference between the rich and the poor, at least in these two basic rights, creating a more harmonious social atmosphere.

Admittedly, if the citizens are wealthy enough, or when they demand some special service, or when the government is too limited in its budget, indivials』 sharing some of the cost may also seem to be reasonable. However, rare cases of particular requirements do not represent the general pursuits of the public, and limitation in budget does not free the government of its accountability.

To sum up, government should provide free ecation and healthcare to the public and pay the cost. Only when people are better ecated and healthier in physiques, can the society be more harmonious in atmosphere and dynamic in development.

- You want to give a waiter a good tip when he serves you with a smile, even if the food turns out not that good; on the other hand, sometimes you』ll have some of the best food ever, but you won』t feel like giving the waiter a tip, even if you do, because he was grumpy.

More and more examples from our everyday life show how much a simple smile can change everything.

It is these smiles that keep me wanting to go back, and that keep us all wanting to go back; looking at it from another view, if we break it down using business sense, a smile is one of the most effective means to generate sales and develop customer loyalty.

Personally, I』d like to see more smiling faces in this world; in the airports when I enter a new country, in companies, government agencies, restaurants, hotels, banks, everywhere; and I think it is up to governments to campaign about this, and even make it obligatory in certain important places like airports, hospitals, hotels…etc.

Some people think we should keep all the money we earn and not pay tax to the state. Do you agree or disagree?

Some people may feel it is their rights to retain their money without paying taxes. However, I believe paying a certain portion of their income to the governments is eventually beneficial to all.
Rather than a deprivation of people』s rights to their earnings, taxation is a way to ensure that such rights do exist. At first glance, it seems unreasonable that people should be compelled to give up part of their money, because people earn their money through their own work and they should have the rights to the fruit of their work. However, such rights can hardly exist if they are not protected by the governments. For example, when crimes are rampant and the country is conquered and enslaved by a foreign foe, people』s lives will be endangered, not to mention their rights to their earnings. To protect such rights, the country needs efficient legal institutions and strong armed forces, which involve a cost. This cost need to be shared by people in the form of taxation.
In addition, taxation can also help to amplify people』s enjoyment of their earnings. It is true that paying taxes leads to people』s income being reced. However, even without paying the taxes, ordinary indivials would not be so rich as to afford a private park or a large library. Through government spending, which is made possible by taxes from a huge number of people, they can access and enjoy some large-scale facilities, such as hospitals, parks, libraries and highways. In this way, people can enjoy more than what they can indivially afford.
Understandably, there may be concerns that some people are too poor to pay taxes, or that governments may not use the taxes effectively for common good causes. But these questions are related to how taxes should be collected and how they should be managed. For the sake of protecting people』s rights to their earnings and making the best use of the earnings, I therefore argue that people should contribute part of their income to the state revenue.
