【關於生詞】
1、第一次碰到一個陌生的單詞，先不要查字典，看看能不能根據當時的上下文猜出大致意思。但不管猜不猜得出來，都要把這個單詞記憶一下。如果手邊有紙筆就寫下來（或者如果在電腦旁邊就記到電腦裡面），如果不方便記錄也沒有關系，在腦子裡面大致保留個印象即可。
2、再一次碰到這個單詞，首先印證一下上次自己的猜測是否在這里仍然適用。如果不適用，則結合兩次的上下文，調整自己的猜測。如果還是猜不出來，也沒有關系。最後，仍然需要把這個單詞記憶一下（紙筆、電腦或者你的大腦），標示這個單詞的出現次數（比如通過畫「正」字）。
3、重復步驟1 - 2，但記住始終不要去查字典。直到閱讀暫時告一段落。比如讀完一個章節，或者讀完自己預先計劃的頁數，或者生詞實在太多沒法往下繼續（嘿~你是不是應該考慮選擇另外一本書來閱讀啊？）。然後來回顧一下我們收集的生詞表，有哪些是我們猜出來了的，哪些是猜不出來的，哪些把握大，哪些把握小，然後再查字典一一印證。
隨著閱讀能力的提高，相信步驟3會出現得越來越晚，而那個生詞表的長度也會越來越短。再往後，你甚至都可以省略這個生詞表的實體，而是把生詞記在腦子里。相信如果某幾個單詞很重要，它們一定會經常出現在你的讀物中，不時地提醒你需要你去查字典並加強記憶。所以，這樣連生詞表也都免了。
【關於讀物的選擇】
1、選擇一本小說之前，先考慮小說的主題或大致情節介紹，是否吸引自己？
2、其次，可以隨便翻翻前幾頁，看看大致能理解其中的百分之多少？我覺得如果感覺自己可以理解百分之五六十以上的話，或許都可以嘗試一下。如果太難，生詞連篇，舉步維艱，就會喪失了閱讀的樂趣。如果太過於簡單，則對於自己完全沒有提高的作用。
3、關於題材，個人覺得現代偵破類、懸疑類題材似乎容易上手一些。沒有太多專業術語，故事發生的年代和我們比較貼近，語言用詞等也比較符合現代人的習慣。而且，情節一般也比較吸引人，能讓你不斷想讀下去知道故事的結局。我曾經有一段時間比較喜歡看斯蒂芬.金的懸疑小說，因為他的語言還算比較通俗易懂，而且情節也比較吸引人。如果你不抵觸他某些作品中的「驚悚」風格（並非全部作品），或許也是一個不錯的選擇。
【原則】
個人覺得，關鍵原則是：不能單純地為了閱讀而閱讀，或者為了提高詞彙量而閱讀。必須要讓閱讀變成一個有趣的過程，去享受它。如果總是被查字典打斷，那麼完全不能隨著作者的筆觸在故事中暢游、體會故事的場景、體會角色的心情。慢慢地，就會喪失對於閱讀的興趣，強迫自己去閱讀變成對自己的一種折磨。潛移默化的抵觸情緒讓你沒法發自內心地去學習，閱讀活動也就漸漸從多變少，從少變無了。
這幾年，我基本上每天都堅持在上下班乘坐輕軌的途中閱讀英文原版小說。雖然一天來回也就一共30-40分鍾，但一路堅持下來已經讀完了好幾本小說（其中也不乏大部頭）。
先要讓閱讀變成一種習慣、變成一種興趣，然後才能從中收獲更多。

4. 你有哪些好的英文原版閱讀書籍的推薦呢
要說看的最順利的是羅琳阿姨的《哈利波特》系列。這也可能是因為我之前看過中文版的原因。因為說實在的本書的生詞實在不少。羅阿姨的英國文學學位不是買來的。所以如果你喜歡《哈》的話，這本書的推薦指數就是＊＊＊＊＊＊。（觀眾：嗯？我好像數了六顆星？難道五顆星不是滿分嗎？？）但如果不喜歡的話就算了。除了《哈》，還想特別推薦一本書。比較小眾。叫《You』ve Got To Read This》。（《你一定得讀讀這本書啊》？）這本書是我在圖書館檢索時無意發現的。是由《心靈雞湯》（不要用鄙視的眼神看我。。我真的沒讀過這個系列。。）的編者主編的。有很多篇小故事。每一篇的作者都是有傳奇經歷的。要麼是大作家，要麼是大公司的老總。因為作者良莠不齊，所以文章難度也各不相同。可以挑適合的讀讀。推薦指數：＊＊＊＊＊再後來我就開始找暢銷書讀了（表鄙視我。我的目的只是為了提高英文，所以基本撿好讀的讀）。其實暢銷書真的很適合培養英文閱讀習慣。暢銷書的特點是短，情節吸引人，最重要的是生詞不多。（大概是因為暢銷書的作者和讀者都沒什麼文化。。）我還專門買了一個kindle。當然所有書籍都從網上下載或者某寶低價代購來的（表再次鄙視我，等哥我以後有錢了會買正版的）。順便表示一下對我朝代購們的佩服之情。沒有遇到他們搜不到的書～～而且價錢真真是白菜價。鏈接我就不放了（即便我不覺得幫自己認為有價值的東西做推廣有任何不妥。。）。自行搜索低價代購電子書。一把一把的。。最後總結陳詞。英文原著最關鍵的還是要讀自己喜歡的內容。最開始可以從簡單的入手，但到了後來興趣才是最主要的驅動。
