(1)阅读教学挑战分来析自
传统的英语阅读课通常把重点单纯地放在单词、句型结构和语法等基本知识目标上,认为学生们有了基本的语法和词汇就可以形成阅读能力,而且这种教法在以往的教学中也使学生获得了骄人的成绩。但在使用新教材后,面对新教材中的阅读材料,许多老师们突然发现原有的教学方法和经验不起作用了;而学生们更是被动应付,课堂上无声无息,毫无语言教学的激情与互动。新教材词汇量大,不允许也不可能一遇生词就翻词典。学生在初始接触阅读材料时,往往易被一个或几个生字词影响自己的阅读和阅读速度,同时也打乱了阅读时的良好心境,难以快速体验到阅读的快乐。
(2)写作教学挑战分析
写作一直是英语教学中最薄弱的环节,写作教学在外语整体教学中严重滞后,以致形成了"听到写作学生心烦,见到习作教师头痛"的现象。新课标与以往教材相比,在写作的形式、内容到作用上都发生了很大的变化:一是更加强调语言的实际运用能力。学生必须能够灵活运用所学的英语知识,更加突出了语言的交际功能。二是写作题材更加贴近学生生活,时代感很强。让学生有话去写,有感而发。三是写作内容更加具有开放性、灵活性和选择性,给学生很大的自由发挥的空间。
