Life of nelson Mandela 曼德拉于1990年成为南非第一任总统，
1488年葡萄牙航海家迪亚斯首次到达好望角。1652年荷兰东印度公司在开普地区
建立第一个殖民地。1795年英国占领开普殖民地。1814年根据维也纳条约开普地区成
为英国殖民地。荷裔布尔人被迫“大迁徒”，于1852年和1854年先后建立“奥兰治自
由邦”和“德兰士瓦共和国”。1867年和1886年南非发现钻石和黄金后，欧洲移民蜂
拥而至。1899年英、荷殖民者为争夺对南非的控制权，爆发了“英布战争”。1902年
英殖民者打败布尔人，吞并了“德兰士瓦共和国”和“奥兰治自由邦”。不久英国准
许其成立自治政府。1910年5月英国将开普省、纳塔尔省、奥兰治自由邦和德兰士瓦
省4个属地合并组成“南非联邦”，成为英国的自治领地。1948年国民党开始执政并
统治南非至今。国民党执政后，实行种族隔离政策。1934年6月南非获得独立，为英
邦成员国。1961年5月31日，南非退出英联邦，成立南非共和国。南非是目前世界上
唯一推行种族隔离制度的国家。南非政府为实施某种族隔离制度，已建立了10个“黑
人家园”(即班图斯坦)，占全国总面积的13%。迄今为止，特兰斯凯、博普塔茨瓦纳、
文达和西斯凯4个“黑人家园”已先后于1976年、1977年、1979年和1981年取得“独
立国家”称号，但在国际上未得到任何国家承认。
