青海地处“世界屋脊”，江河源头。独特的高原地理位置，独具一格的高山大川，悠久的历史文化，有着许多的具有浓郁地域特色的风俗。在过去，青海有这样的四大怪说法：“风吹石头跑，满地不长草，房顶能赛跑，是姑娘不洗澡。”可想而知那时候的荒凉可见到什么程度。对了，还有四蛋的说法：“满地都是石头蛋蛋，烧得的是牛粪蛋蛋，吃的是洋芋《土豆》蛋蛋，姑娘小伙的脸都是红脸蛋蛋。”因为青海海拔平均都在3000千以上，而藏族的娃娃们几乎都是在山上放羊长大，由于强烈的紫外线照射，脸蛋基本都是红儿团，在这里我们把这称之为青海风光，至今还有很多的藏族同胞都是这样，这也算是青海的一道靓丽的风景线吧。
青海是个多民族居住的地方，据我知道就有藏族、回族、汉族、蒙古族、土族、撒拉族等等吧，各个民族在不同的时间内过着不同的属于自己民族的节日，那种神秘而又壮观的异域节日景象在内地是看不到的。当然，随着社会的进步与发展，青海也是同步并走没有落下，现在的城市也和内地一样的繁华昌盛。
我喜欢青海，也庆幸自己能生长在这个富饶而又美丽的地方。这里的一切都深深的吸引着我。青海湖，塔尔寺，李家峡那原始的森林公园等等。在春天的时候会有成百上千的鸟儿在蓝天上飞翔，秋天时那满山遍野的油菜花让人陶醉。同时，柴达木盆地还有着世界著名的盐湖，它的面积非常非常大，盐类资源非常丰富，是一个神奇美妙的盐的世界，许多中外游客都慕名到这里来游玩和观赏。
