这部分有大作文和小作文两部分，大作文的分值占了作文里的三分之二，所以一定马虎不得。不过作文的评判标准对于二者都适用。
TR (Task Response) 扣题与任务完成度：这个就是字面意思，很容易理解，但是却不好拿分。首先你写的作文得切合题目的要求，但这稍微有点基础的人都懂。突出了关键词之后，还要学会拓展观点，起码得有依据去支持你的观点，这就是一般所说的支持句了。
CC (Coherence and Cohesion) 连贯与衔接：别小看这几个字，能灵活实现的不多。考过四六级的同志们，大都背过一种堪称万能的模板，可是这种模板在雅思考试中却相当吃亏。这个除了日常多练习之外，活用连接词和代词等也是必不可少的；再者就是段落要清晰，也不是说固定的要三段式，至少要有始有终，有个严谨可观的思路。
LR(Lexical Resource) 词汇运用：这个估计是大多数人头疼的问题，常会遇到提笔忘字的情况，比中文写作还常见。是不是在一个句子里，总有几个单词凑不齐？词汇量属于日积月累的过程，那种七天背完8000的说法，个人觉得夸张过头了。这里再提一下上面说过的记忆遗忘曲线，用这个科学的办法去记单词可以有效缓解记不住和容易忘的问题。但是，三天打鱼两天晒网是肯定不行的。
GRA(Grammatical Range and Accuracy) 语法准确与句式结构：GRA可以到8的是大神，普通人连上7都难上加难。口语式的句式尤其常见，直直的就写过去了。这一点上，除了长句，短句，倒装句和虚拟语气这些要掌握外，还有一些考官们青睐的句式也要学会，比如插入语，西方交流中很爱这一点。还有从句，为了显示你的作文逼格，也得通通用上。
PS：作文里需要的注意的地方，简单的提一下。时间，字数，字迹，格式等都要有；尽量不要写缩写（一个教授跟我说的），最后一个，别写题目，不但没必要还会浪费时间去想。重点提一下，《顾家北手把手教你雅思写作》，好用并且有用，自己买去吧。
