3. 开放性问题“the best resolution is no resolution”难度太大,尝试设计成课后讨论,下节课展示是不是更好?

Mole 12 Traditional life
情态动词must,can
情态动词must,can
eg:
(1)You must drive on the left-hand side of the road in Britain.
(2)You can go and see the Lion Dance.
eg:
You mustn’t break anything. It is bad luck!
You mustn’t talk with food in your mouth.
You mustn’t come late tomorrow.
eg
You can’t ride your bicycle on the pavement.
No,you can’t take it away.
我们学过can表示“能力”,如I can swim,而本模块中can表示“允许”。

1. Remember to write down two or more words which often go together.
精讲:句中which often go together 是定语从句,修饰前面的 two or more words。
作定语用的从句一般都用关系代词(that, who, whom, which, whose)或关系副词(when, where, why)。
eg:
This is the house in which he lived ten years ago. = This is the house which he lived in ten years ago.

The well-mannered Englishman at table holds and keeps his knife in his right hand, his fork in his left, cuts his meat and presses his vegetables into his fork. The well-mannered American first cuts up all his meat, then places his knife down on the right of his plate, takes his fork in his right hand and with his fork lifts the food to his mouth. He will have coffee half way through his dinner before the pudding. The Englishman drinks his coffee after the dinner. And, of course, Americans are coffee-drinkers rather than tea-drinkers. The Englishman would be surprised at the American’s idea of how tea should be made.
The popular method to make tea is to take a cup or a pot of hot water and drop inte it a cotton bag with tea leaves in it. For a change they will sometimes put a can of water on the electric stove and then pour the mixture into a teapot, pour it into a cup and drink it without turning a hair.

Author: Roald Dahl

Summary
This story is talking about the two characters called The Twits who were ugly, smelly and nasty .They always play tricks on each other. The tricks is a bit disgust but funny. Besides , there were some unusual characteristics of them , just like they did not have a shower or take a bath for many years and they love to eat “bird-pie”.
The Feelings Afterwards
There were many special tricks in the book , “The Glass Eye” were one of them .
Mrs Twit likes to let Mr Twit know that she is always watching him. She does this by placing her glass eye into Mr Twit's mug of beer at the breakfast table. This makes Mr Twit always jump in shock. Although the trick was not the most originality one , as Roald Dah’ words were really vivid, mr twit’s surprised expression and mrs twit’s happy face after the trick just like living in front of me , it became the trick I love the most .
The colorful word also make the characters active . Roald Dah had made a successful creation of two very distinct personality role , mr and mrs twit . Mrs twit who once very beautiful , but thinking ugly thoughts caused her to transform into the ugliest woman in the world and always use her cane as a weapon against children and animals. Mr twit , a trollish person and a beer drinker having hair that covers his whole face, except for his forehead, eyes and his nose.
On the whole, although part of the book were quite disgust , the lively text and the attractive role made the book full of color and made it a unforgettable and remarkable book .

Atyreport

Enviroment
Harmtheenvirornent
Protecttheenviroment
downtrees。
