He first worked on a newspaper, and then had a job in a bank, when some money went missing from the bank O. Henry was believed to have stolen it. Because of that, he was sent to prison. He wrote mostly about New York and the life of the poor there. People liked his stories, because simple as the tales were, they would finish with a sudden change at the end, to the reader’ surprise.

3、进行逻辑推理

在做英语阅读理解的时候,经常会遇到作者主旨表达的不是很明显的情况,这时候就需要根据文章的内容、通过逻辑推理,分析作者的意图,从而理解整篇文章想要表达的意义。

1、如果该词汇是简单词汇,则其字面意思必然不是正确答案。

2、高考阅读不是考察字认识不认识,而是考察是否能根据上下文作出正确的判断。
